i paid a visit to the library
its like a craving for fish&chips all of a sudden
sighs.
btw, my craving #1 was instantly attended to sad to say
my visit to dome's @ bishan wasn't a very pleasant one
mainly and ONLY bcos the fishchips i expected is 'battered' fish;
not breaded!!!!!!!!
*SULKS
anyway, back to craving
its a special case of books
ceo needs to do some browsing for her final project
and coincidentally, i 'bumped' upon A Novel: Mishima
Minus the nitty gritty facts on Japanese Occupation..
it shd be quite interesting, but not enough for me to loan it
instead, i loaned "The Sailor Who Fell From Grace To The Sea"
main reason being it shd be quite a short novel
(which is btw, a lil too much of erotic literature)
once it's done, i shall review it. here.
as usual, a napped a few hrs on the white couch
upon waking up in the slightly after midnite
i watched a whole hour of a donkey-years-ago local production
yesh. how old fashioned it may be,
that short film sounded a whole sound of reality
in view of the young boy coping with death of a grandparent
he mentioned that;
"once grandpa died, it seemed that adults seemed to be busy with the arrangements...."
"..i tend to wonder if a death can be so troublesome. but meaningful, bcos probably that's the only time all family members will gather"
"....my eldest auntie cried and told every one who came about him...."
".....which makes me wonder actually how much she actually know about grandpa.."
it was a very slow paced, but good short film
i know im quite a bastard and never quite give local short films much chance
but tt one, it's quite classic
