although it's been quite a few days since im back from kl
something triggered me to blog this

Greatest Lesson(s) Learnt
My personal perceptions of contractors; ALL in KL mode;
1st
Damage whatever ur contractors are reluctant to change/alter/rectify. Leave them without a choice

2nd
Hang up the phone in the middle of a heated argument

3rd
Continue rejecting their calls even if they called u a 100 times trying to continue from where they left off

4th
They are actually very sophisticated; they never meant what they said
i. will come by later meant will come by later...this week
ii. 1-2 hrs away from reaching likely meant 1-2 million miles away
iii. half an hour away? more like half a day
iv. "i've arrived" just never came. likely is "I'm leaving soon but i think i would be reaching half an hour later'"(refer to iii)
But of course, we must always give them the benefit of doubt. They definitely don't lie when they said they need to leave the job site early

5th
Compromises are mostly reliefing, but also even more of bullshits. They'd think of anything to fool u, just to stop you from further interrogations. It's always tomorrow, later, soon, asap. Most case is when tomorrow comes, you've already get your problem resolved

6th
Chill. Keep your cool. No matter what, if things don't get done. Wait. Be calm.

7th
Worse case scenario (it works!) Say you've been chilling literally for 1827912 million donkey years. And still, things don't get done. Be unreasonable. Screw everyone on site. Even if you jolly well know it's not really their fault.

8th
Vulgar? Use it like it's a vocab to complete your sentence. But just remember to be as creative as you can. They'd admire you for that.

9th
Ask if you need to know if something or anything need to be done. No matter how no brainers it will be, you'd likely get only 1 answer. No. And btw, do not bother to ask why. You'd never be getting an answer for that."No" means "Screw you. I can't be bothered to think. "

10th
Put a switch to your ears. Switch them On/Off as and when you like. Anything audible you must be able to select before opening up ur ears. If it's something you don't wish to know, install an extra DELETE function. Thrash them. Forget you ever heard about it.

I guess that's why i'd return to Singapore
